Desktop scanner (relay) Auto-upload card scans from a folder on your computer.
What it does
The relay app watches a folder on your computer. Point your scanner (or a phone-photo import) at that folder, and every new image is uploaded to your dashboard automatically — no dragging files in one at a time.
Your relay key
The relay authenticates with a per-account relay key. Generate and copy it on the API credentials page. Keep it secret — anyone with the key can upload to your account. If it's ever exposed, rotate it; note that every device using the old key stops working until you paste in the new one.
Install
- Download the relay app (Mac) from the API credentials page — or use the Python script on other platforms.
- Paste in your relay key.
- Choose the folder to watch.
The status pill shows AVAILABLE once the relay is reachable, and NOT CONFIGURED until you've set it up.
Troubleshooting
- Scans not appearing? Confirm the app is running, watching the right folder, and using the current key.
- Rotated your key? Update it on every device that uploads.
- You can always fall back to drag-and-drop upload on the dashboard.
